About

Theo Rolvink

A personal sourcing consultancy is, by definition, only as good as the person behind it. Here is the story.

Theo Rolvink, founder of Rolvink Premium Imports

My passion for premium cars and motorcycles is not a recent choice, but a thread that has run through my life for many years. Over that time I have built extensive experience in buying and selling exceptional vehicles — always with a focus on quality, specification and history. What began as a personal obsession with engineering and aesthetics has grown into Rolvink Premium Imports.

The idea behind the business is deliberately small-scale. Not delivering as many cars as possible, but finding the right example for the right owner. No mass import, no quick trading, no volume pressure. Instead: a personal sourcing approach built on selection, transparency and patience.

From Welsum (municipality of Olst-Wijhe, the Netherlands) I work as an independent import consultant. My network in Germany and direct lines to the major Japanese auction houses — USS, JU and JAA — form the basis of every search. Each source market has its own strengths: Germany for the full model spectrum and fast turnaround, Japan for performance specifications, classics and low-mileage examples. In the intake conversation we decide together which route fits what you are looking for.

What you get

Personal guidance from first conversation to delivery at your door. Transparency on every cost item — no hidden margins. An honest assessment of what a specific specification is really worth and which pitfalls I see per model series. A direct line to me, no call centre, no intermediaries.

How I select

With every candidate car I look at the same criteria: complete service history, mileage consistent with service stamps, no known damage or repair history (no R/RA/A/X codes on Japanese auction sheets, no Unfallfahrzeug note on German reports), and the known weak points of each model generation explicitly checked. Below grade 4 on the Japanese auction scale, no car makes my shortlist — beneath that, the risk of hidden issues rises exponentially.

What I am not

Not a volume trader. Not a used-car dealer working rushed orders. Not an import portal where hundreds of cars sit jumbled together without selection or context. Instead: someone who does obsessive research, communicates transparently, and only touches vehicles I have personally assessed.

Our service is by appointment — no showroom, no pressure, no sales pitch. That way every search gets the undivided attention it deserves.

The rest is worth a conversation.

— Theo Rolvink, Welsum
